Corvallis Family Medicine is a proud sponsor of Albany Relay For Life!
At Relay For Life events, communities across the globe come together to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that has already taken too much. The funds raised truly make a difference in the fight against cancer; just ask one of the nearly 14 million cancer survivors who will celebrate another birthday this year!
Relay For Life teams camp out overnight and take turns walking or running around a track. Events are up to 24 hours long, and because cancer never sleeps, each team is asked to have at least one participant on the track at all times. Employees at CFM dedicate and volunteer their time to the fundraising efforts.
This year’s Albany Relay for Life is located at Timber Ridge School at 373 Timber Ridge St this weekend, June 20th and 21st. The event runs from 1:00pm Saturday until 7:30am Sunday. During the event there will be lots of on-site fundraising and two silent auctions, so be sure to bring some extra cash.
Opening ceremonies begin at 1:00 PM.
The survivor ceremony begins at 7:00 PM, celebrating cancer survivors.
The Luminaria ceremony begins at 9:00 PM. This is a beautiful and moving tribute to those who have had or been lost to cancer.
Dinner will be sold from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Saturday while supplies last.
Hot breakfast will be sold from 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM on Sunday while supplies last. All dads will receive free breakfast in honor of Father’s Day.
