Brianne Smith, DO

Brianne Smith received her medical degree in osteopathic medicine at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee, and completed her family medicine residency locally at Good Samaritan, here in Corvallis and Albany, Oregon. Prior to that she completed a BS in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior at University of California at Davis, and worked on a Masters degree in Toxicology at San Diego State University.

Dr. Smith is drawn to family medicine because she is able to care for multiple generations with diverse cultural backgrounds, and help patients achieve their personal goals. She loves that her background in osteopathy, and growing skills in manipulation are another tool in her toolbox to help patients be their best selves. Her other passions include working in women’s health, pediatrics,  especially with adolescents, and with LGBTQ patients. She is particularly excited to be a doctor at Corvallis Family Medicine, where she knows she will be part of a team which shares her enthusiasm for serving our community.

Dr. Smith strongly believes in the power of preventative and lifestyle medicine. If you come to see her, she will probably ask you about your “5 pillars of health”: food, activity, sleep, coping mechanisms, and sense of community; and can work with you to optimize these areas.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Smith enjoys the outdoors, singing karaoke, and spending time with her family. She is a cat enthusiast, foodie, loves to travel, and is learning how to garden. She is interested in linguistics and is working on proficiency in Spanish, and is beginning in Mandarin Chinese.
