As we approach Thanksgiving, we want to express our thanks to you, our loyal patients, who allow us to be part of your lives as we work together to improve your quality of health. Happy Thanksgiving!
CFM desires to provide the highest quality of continuous care, which includes taking care of urgent medical needs, as well as ongoing treatments of chronic conditions. You are probably aware that several “urgent care” or “immediate care” clinics have recently opened in our communities. These facilities are designed to treat various medical conditions on an acute basis, but do not offer continuous care. This kind of sporadic treatment has risks, since it lacks continuity with a patient’s medical history and his/her current health status. The health care providers at Corvallis Family Medicine strongly believe that our patients benefit from utilizing our built-in urgent care system, because we have the advantage of knowing you and your medical histories.
Did you know that CFM offers immediate and urgent care along with our regularly scheduled appointments? This means that if you call with an urgent need, one of our providers is on 24 hour call for your benefit. Patients will be seen in the office by either your PCP or the provider “on call” any weekday from 8 am – 5 pm or on Saturdays from 9 am – 1 pm. For after hour emergencies, we encourage you to phone the office and the on call physician will advise you and answer your questions. As needed, they may meet you at the office or refer you to the hospital emergency room, if necessary.
